The principle of centrifugal air compressor is to compress gas by centrifugal force.
Centrifugal air compressor consists of the main parts compressor, drive device and other auxiliary equipment. When working, the drive device drives the rotor of the compressor to rotate at high speed, and the gas enters the compressor through the air inlet, driven by the rotating blades to generate centrifugal force. The gas is gradually moved to the periphery under the action of centrifugal force, and the gas is compressed and pressurized once per rotation until the required pressure is reached.
During the working process of the centrifugal air compressor, the gas first enters the pre-rotation inlet for preliminary rotation, then enters the impeller cavity to interact with the impeller, and continues to be compressed by the centrifugal force. Finally, the gas is compressed to the outlet and discharged from the outlet.
The characteristics of centrifugal air compressor are small size, simple structure, high compression ratio, and it is suitable for occasions with small gas flow and high pressure requirements. However, due to the high speed of the rotor, there are noise and vibration problems. At the same time, high heat is generated during the compression process, which needs to be dissipated through the cooling system.
